Dr. Sarah Swanson-Harsh has long aspired to become an optometrist. She majored in biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and went on to graduate from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2002. After graduation, Dr. Swanson-Harsh felt a draw to Sacramento and began practicing at Eyes on J in 2002. In 2004, she purchased the practice and is proud to share her education with her patients.
As part of her dedication to her patients, Dr. Swanson-Harsh, O.D. participates in many forms of continuing education. In addition, she is a member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, and the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society.
Dr. Spencer Fairgrieve, O.D., FAAO

Dr. Spencer Fairgrieve is a Northern California native. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Science from Santa Clara University and went on to graduate from UC Berkeley School of Optometry with honors. After graduating optometry school, she moved to New York to complete a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at The State University of New York College of Optometry. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Fairgrieve decided to come back to her home state of California to continue practicing optometry and to be closer to her family. She has a strong attention to detail and is experienced in managing many eye diseases, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. She is very happy to be a part of the Eyes On J team and is eager to share all of her education with her patients.
